It's time to Write More! A low-pressure, low-key writing/admin group in the bookshop. (As much tea/coffee/hot chocolate as you can drink)

Do you need time and space to get organised for the month ahead? Do you need to make a bit of progress, and get a bit of advice on, a project you’ve been procrastinating on? Is it hard to carve out time and find a space that’s just for you? If the answer to any of these questions is yes then this is group for you!

Our regular positive-peer-pressure writing/admin space. This isn’t a led writing workshop; it’s spot to chat, throw ideas around, get some feedback on a draft, network, or just knuckle down, stick your headphones in, and get something done! Take an evening at the start of the month to get your ducks in a row and get organised.

We split our space into two groups - happy to chat or heads down - so you can come along and share what you’re working on and get some feedback on projects of any kind. Or you can stick your headphones in and use it as distraction-free time if such a thing is in short supply elsewhere.

For your ticket price you get: bottomless tea/coffee/hot chocolate, access to WiFi (or blocked entirely from the WiFi if needed, we’ll even look after your phone for you), and a 10% discount on books on the night if you want to give yourself a little treat for a job well done.

We also get lots of shop work done on these nights so we’ll be there right alongside you. Spaces are limited and we will take bookings on the night for the next group so get in while you can!

How long does the group last?
Around three hours! We'll close up around 9/9:30pm but feel free to arrive after 6:30pm or leave before the end.

Will your café stay open?
Yes! Our café will be open to provide free hot drinks throughout the evening.

How do I get to the shop?
Directions to the shop can be found here. We are situated on all major bus routes which run down Leith Walk and we’re 30 seconds from the Foot of the Walk tram stop. If you’re driving, we have a lovely big Tesco car park right behind the shop.

What are your accessibility arrangements in the shop?
