Queer Book Club – November

Join us for a relaxed chat about a different queer book every month! The queer book club is about exploring modern and classic queer literature, essays, poetry, history and more. A free-form discussion group where all are welcome!

Purchasing a ticket entitles each book club member to 15% off the book be to discussed or any other book if you already have that one. (Just bring your proof of ticket purchase to the shop and we can sort that for you.)

Our book this month is Delilah Green Doesn’t Date by Ashley Herring Blake.

Delilah Green swore she would never go back to Bright Falls – nothing is there for her except memories of a lonely childhood.

Her life now is in New York, with her photography career finally gaining steam and her bed never empty. Sure, it’s a different woman every night, but that’s just fine with her. When Delilah’s estranged stepsister pressures her into photographing her wedding with a guilt trip and a large check, Delilah finds herself back in Bright Falls once more.

She plans to breeze in and out, but then she sees Claire Sutherland, one of Astrid’s stuck-up besties, and decides that maybe there’s some fun (and a little retribution) to be had, after all. Having raised her daughter mostly on her own while dealing with her unreliable ex and running a bookstore, Claire depends upon a life without surprises. And Delilah Green is an unwelcome surprise

How long does each book club last?

Each book club is an hour and a half, ending around 8.30pm.

Does the discount have to be used against the book club title?

No! If it’s a book you already own, you can use your discount on any other book in the shop. Simply pop in with your proof of purchase and we can sort that for you.

Do I have to finish reading the book before coming along?

Ideally, but no! If you can’t, or don’t want to, finish the book, we still want to hear your thoughts. We will however spoil every aspect of the book during discussion.
